1 to 1 Classes with Sian - Creative Exploration

Would you like to work with me on a one to one basis? This year, I am opening up my creative studio in south east Cornwall, and my colourful world of natural dyes, to give you the chance to work with me as an individual (or small group by arrangement).

 

Join me for your very own workshop, where I can cover everything from setting up your natural dye kitchen, preparing fabrics for dyeing and mordants.  We can also weave into the day discussion and advice about setting up and running a small business, and of course those all important practical elements of botanical plant dyeing - preparing a dye bath, bundle dyeing and more. The day will be a delightful mix of natural colour exploration, finding inspiration from nature and learning simple tried and tested recipes and methods for creating colour on cloth.

Anyone! Because I will develop this class just for you, anyone from a complete beginner to an industry profresional is welcome to book.  You don't need any specialist knowledge to book.

My creative studio is located on the main road in the ancient capital of Cornwall.

Lostwithiel is an ancient stannary town (founded on the wealth of tin mining), dating back to the 12th century, and has plentiful cafes and shops to browse, as well as the historic Restormel Castle managed by English Heritage. The studio has a small courtyard at the back and plenty of space to create.

 

Sian has worked with some amazing names in both weddings, events and films, including Netflix UK, The Garden Gate Flower Company, Jam Jar Flowers, Universal Pictures, Disney as well as teaching classes for The Sensory Trust, Arts University Plymouth, Bedruthan Hotel and Spa, Into Bodmin and Duchy of Cornwall Nursery.

There will be alimited number of available dates this year, and early booking is advised.
